ENVIROCARE IoT performs the monitoring of air quality through automatic measurement stations to obtain accurate and traceable data on air quality status and control emission and immission levels in urban and industrial environments.
The environmental regulation establishes the types of controls to which industrial activities are subject, the emission limit values and it specifies the monitoring plans that apply to the facilities, indicating the concentration of parameters and pollutants that must be measured and how often.
Components of the air quality monitoring solution
The solution for air quality monitoring consists of:
-Monitoring stations.
-Data acquisition and communication systems.
-Control center: Envira DS.
-Alarm systems.
-Smart data validation
Continuous monitoring of air pollution
The system consists of a set of monitoring stations equipped with analyzers. ENVIRA supplies highly reliable analyzers that meet all the requirements established in the reference standards defined in the current legislation.
For the measurement of air quality, two types of analyzers are used:
Gas analyzers: we provide high precision analyzers that comply with the requirements established in current regulations and allow us to evaluate the correct compliance with the limits established in the applicable legislation.
Particle analyzers: for the measurement of parameters such as PM10 and PM 2.5.
Data acquisition and communication systems
The data is recorded and stored in advanced computer systems for data acquisition to be sent in real time to the ENVIRA DS control center. All this through secure transmissions to ensure the integrity of the data and prevent possible manipulations. The most commonly used types of communication in background air quality networks are:
Control center: ENVIRA DS
It is the heart of any air quality network for compliance assessment background air quality. The tasks performed are:
-Control and continuous evaluation of air quality.
-Information to citizens about episodic situations.
-Support for the study of air quality.
-Long-term spatio-temporal evolution of air pollution.
-Generation of reports, alerts and alarms.
-Validation and exploitation of the data.
The control center, adapted to current legislation, incorporates the regulations into a Data Regeneration Module that includes all European legislation and it is specific to each of the parameters.
Warning systems
ENVIRA DS has a powerful system for managing episodic situations in case of overcoming levels marked by legislation.
These systems are customized to the specific requirements of each client, both in terms of calculation methods and information sent to interested parties.
The system allows sending personalized messages to users based on various parameters such as pollutant, affected area, etc.
Smart data validation
ENVIROCARE has developed an Artificial Intelligence tool for the early detection of anomalies in the operation of instruments for air quality monitoring for compliance assessment.
This system is based on the latest developments on machine learning and the knowledge of our specialists. The system has algorithms, particularized for each type of sensor, that analyze the input data and reports the operator of possible anomalies to avoid an improper use of them in case of suspicion of being incorrect.
Advantages
The main advantages of the air quality monitoring solution for compliance assessment are:
